About Me.

Nice to meet you—I’m Roisin (she/her), a Seattle-based yoga teacher, community volunteer, nonprofit marketing consultant, and parent.

I’m a Yoga Alliance–certified teacher with 500+ hours of specialized training in Menopause Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Hatha/Ayurveda Yoga. Over the years, I’ve taught classes and workshops in studios, schools, jails, nonprofit settings, and online. My work is shaped by deep respect for lived experience, incredible teachers, and the realities of people’s lives.

Yoga has been a steady, evidence-informed support for navigating symptoms like sleep disruption, mood changes, pain, nervous system overwhelm and chronic stress. Through 80+ hours of menopause-specific training, I’ve learned what many people are never told: these neuro-endocrine experiences are common, deeply personal, and deserving of skilled, compassionate support.

I bring a lived-experience of the of the menopause transition from the lens of a cis gender queer woman. However, I also understand menopause as a complex bio-psycho-social phase of life that affect womxn, nonbinary, and trans men who also have to navigate midlife hormonal changes. I believe self-care is not indulgent; it’s a public good.
My teaching is rooted in nervous system regulation, pain science, and an ongoing commitment to learning, while advocating for stronger research in women’s midlife health. As neuroscientist Dr. Lisa Mosconi reminds us, “We are owed decades of research.”

I teach through many lenses: as a first-generation immigrant, a parent, and an able-bodied white woman who continues to benefit from structural and social privilege—and remains accountable to it. Curiosity, humility, and care guide my work.
