My Approach

Classes & Workshops

Every yoga for menopause class pulls from a variety of practices that are brain sensitive, trauma-informed, restorative, and support nervous system health.

Classes and workshops are themed to align with common symptoms such as chronic stress, sleep disturbance, mood, anxiety, hot flushes, joint pain, muscle and bone loss, cognition and brain fog.

Audience

Menopause yoga workshops (& classes) are for people who are starting to notice common symptoms (late reproductive stage, mid-30s), are in perimenopause (ages 45-55), recently in menopause (average age in the U.S is 51) or have experienced medically, surgically or GAHT induced menopause.

Inclusive Community

Everyone's lived experiences are valid. We intentionally not center someone’s reproductive ability, gender expression, gender or sexual identity as a defining stage of menopause and  embrace diverse perspectives on what it means to be a person with estrogen dominant endocrine system. This includes perspectives from those at the margins of the menopause movement, including the global majority, black, queer, incarcerated or neuro-diverse individuals.

Health at Every Size

Yoga for menopause is for everyone whether you have a regular practice or not. My wholistic approach to wellness includes people of all abilities and sizes and that feeling healthy and strong is more important than how you look in a pair of jeans or your body mass index.
